Purpose Statement: As a community of women, created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action,and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world. All women are invited to any circle meeting for Bible study and fellowship. Tabitha Circle: Meets on the third Wednesday, September - May, at 7:30PM in the fellowship hall. Rebekah Circle: Meets on the second Tuesday, September - December and February - May at 9AM in the fellowship hall. BETHLEHEM WOMEN ANNUAL MEETING REPORT November 13, 2007 An opening prayer was made. Minutes from last year's meeting were read and approved. Treasurer's report was read and approved. Old Business: RADA cutlery is being phased out. January 2007 Women's Sunday speaker was Sharon Peterson from Crusader Clinic. Thankofferings totaled $135.93. The spring bake and flower sale netted $400. Trash & Treasure proceeds of $4,184 were given to the parking lot fund. Kay Brindle and Pat Olesen attended the WELCA Synod Convention at Grace Lutheran, Loves Park, in September. Unit Reports: LSSI health kits - 44; Mitten Tree (2006) - 139 items; Toy Bus (2006) - 110 toys; LWR school bags - 57; handmade quilts - 6; prayer shawls - 8 distributed, 6 on hand. New Business: Community Christmas Giving - $100 will be donated to Emmanuel Food Pantry and Rockford Rescue Mission. LSSI mitten and toy collections are due December 6, 2007. 2008 chairpersons and officers were discussed and affirmed. See list this page.
